Tangling with the wrong things causes chaos ........

We have had a very eventful week. Our cat Tangles got tangled in the hay mower last Sunday and mangled his right back paw. A trip to the vet, several hundred $$ later and he now is a three legged half tailed very lucky cat on his last life. It is amazing how such a random act can tip your world upside down in an instant. Poor hubby is still traumatized and has done the if only thing til it has driven us both nuts. The cat now has a degree of separation anxiety - he has to be beside one of us at all times - even to the point if you roll over in bed he will swap sides, he is also being driven crazy by the cone around his neck, he can't lick himself - of course that is the purpose - so he can't pull out his drain tube or stitches - but to him it is some cruel form of torture. He has however adapted exceptionally well to his missing leg, he can still beat me to the fridge, jump up onto our beds and sit on the back of my arm chair. The top photo was taken the morning of his accident and the bottom yesterday - Day 3 post op

A photo to share - My beautiful family

We are home and unpacked after three wonderful nights at Moama on the Murray. The kids were FANTASTIC, they were so well behaved and such fun to be with. Yesterday we spent the morning at Squiggles then the arvo in the pool with Kirsty, Ree and the kids.

Ty had his kinda Christmas party last night so we headed over for it and had tea with Kirsty and Brett

When we got back it was still early so we went for a walk around the park. We saw baby ducklings, kangaroos and tons of birds. Ty grabbed my camera and took some shots - not too bad for a 4 year old.I love the photo of his shadow and the one of Alex he took

It was time to pack up this morning and head home. I am definatly having a granny nap this arvo I've earned it.

Having a ball with the grandies

We arrived to torrential rain which had cleared by the time we had unpacked, so we wandered to Squiggles and played for half an hour then headed to the lagoon pool.

On the way back there were Kangaroos grazing on the lawn and baby ducks nesting at the waters edge the kids were so excited. It was 10pm before they finally crashed but Alex slept til 8 so it wasn't too bad.
After a quick breaky it was off to feed the farm animals. There is a resident pig, goats, sheep and chickens and the kids actually get to pet and feed them as well as take home the eggs laid overnight. I had a hard time convincing Ty that they were for eating and weren't going to become baby chickens.

We headed to Squiggles for a couple of hours then home for a sleep. After that Margie and Harry came to visit and we had a ball at the lagoon pool. There was another family there and they had a blowup crocodile and water blasters which they shared with the boys and played crocodile wars - kidnapping and rescuing the croc and blasting each other.

Then it was home for tea - kids were in bed by 8 tonight yay - some quiet time.

water plus kids always equals fun

Thumbs up to Squiggles at Moama on the Murray Resort. Alex and Ty just loved the outdoor play area with all it's water shoots, dinosaurs and hoses. Grammy didn't object to the banana lounge to recline on while supervising the kids on a hot and horrible day. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and stayed cool. Can't wait until we go there for our three day holiday. This place is awesome!
