A wonder ful couple of days with my boys

we have had a fabulous time away, once again our cabin was awesome, this time we were lakeside which was fantastic. The boys fed the local ducks twice a day from  the balcony and tonight three Kangaroos came in to graze by the lakeside.

We started each day feeding the ducks then headed to the farmyard to feed the resident goats, sheep, pig, geese and chickens.

Back to the cabin for breakfast and then off to Squiggles play park - on site. The boys loved the indoor play park, Alex although he is dinosaur mad and loved it last year didn't think too much of the water park the dinosaur noises scared him, but he did come good the second day.

Each afternoon we headed to the pool where the boys would have a swim and then crash for a couple of hours in the pusher. We had a friends son come and spend the afternoon which was fantastic he was awesome keeping Ty occupied and we had to laugh at both of us (14 and 50) acting like  two year olds playing with bubbles (you are never too old for bubbles).

All in all a fabulous couple of days with my two favorite men.

Holidaying with the Grandies

It's that time of year again, when I get to spend time alone with my two favorite boys. Only one more sleep, some cooking this arvo and we are off on our yearly trip all the way across the river to Moama on the Murray. All packed, got the toys, the water stuff - goggles, water guns, toga rashis and towels- their fave foods - tin spag, yogurt, grammy's spag bol, chow mein and snags. Mmmmm seem to be missing something - ahhhhh the kids - they will come over Sunday night - after I've unpacked, got their gear ready and relaxed by the pool for the arvo - then it's holiday time.

On the move

At last I have had a chance to play with my stash of Kaiser On the Move.

I've had this pic of Chas and the old Brown ute for ages and the On the Move papers were just perfect to showcase the photo. I've layered pieces from the die cut pack and sticker sheet.

once again I've layered pieces from the die cut pack and sticker sheet and this time have used the stamps and rub ons as well. I altered the car to create the ute tag.

Chas and I took a joy flight for his 50th birthday and I still hadn't used the photos. I decided a mini waterfall album on the page would allow me to use a few photos and I decorated it with tags from the 6x6 paper pad and the die cut pack and sticker sheet. I've also used the transparency sheet.

What a weekend .....

Well all I can say is wow what a weekend we've had. We flew into Sydney an hour late and were very pleased to see the shuttle driver holding the sign with our name on it. After a quick drive to the hotel to dump our luggage we were off to the cross to pick up the car, which for obvious reasons we nicknamed Kermit.

Off we headed in some of the worst traffic I have ever seen out to Londonderry to the famous Junkyard. After nearly two hours hard driving the anticipation was rising we finally pulled up only to discover the bloody place was closed - despite the hours open on the gate said it was open. WTF. Stop laughing Karen. So we reprogrammed  the GPS and headed back to the cross to return the car and head to the hotel to check in.
Our suite has a fabulous balcony with an awesome view of the bridge.

The room is spacious and very well appointed, and the shower actually gets you wet enough to wash the conditioner properly.
After settling in and unpacking it was time to explore the rocks and find some food.

We found an awesome pub called the Observer and Gav the barman was awesome. The music was great the food was good what more do you need - oh I know Red Ice and they had it - lots of it! And for Chas half a dozen Irish girls that loved him and thought he was cute - nahhh I don't get it either.

Today we were up and ready to go early as Chas was booked for the Bridge Climb.
While Chas was climbing I took the hop on hop off tour around Sydney town.

We met up at lunch time and took a leisurely walk around the markets then headed to Circular Quay and jumped on the Manly Ferry for a harbour cruise because it was such a beautiful day. We had lunch at the Wharf Bar then headed back. We were entertained by a bunch of girls having a girls day out, thanks for the laughs girls.

Chas headed off to explore some local pubs and I headed back to the Hotel for a swim. Then we met back at the Observer for a few drinks and more great music  and Chas did it again and got a hug from a couple of girls who thought he was cute. Gav had a Red Ice waiting for me when I got there. Then it was time to head home to get some rest before we fly home tomorrow. Well done Sydney great weekend.
