day 6 Cape Jervis to Adelaide to Ouyen - heading home

Long haul day today. Cape Jervis to Adelaide. Fantastic trip with the GPS taking us easily to Aunty Marion and Uncle Tom's. Unfortunately they weren't home. We reprogrammed the GPS and had a gorgeous drive through the Torrens Valley. Stopped and played in Bird wood for a while. Then hit the road through the Mallee 125 K's until the next turn out of Mannum. Saw the Murray again - quite wide at Mannum and again at Tailem Bend. Gorgeous mallee sunset but couldn't get a pic because of the salt bush on the sides of the road. No expense spared we are staying at a 3 star motel and had dinner at the roadhouse - hamburgers out of the bag.

Farewell Cape Jervis at sunrise

Loads of history along the way

Last look at the Murray for a while at Tailem Bend

125 K's before the next turn - only in the Mallee felt  about that long until the next bend as well

Funky bridge at Lamaroo

crossing the border lovely sign from SA

typical boring Victorian sign
