I got to meet four very talented scrappers and got to spend time with Trisha Ladouceur who is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. It always amazes me how scrapbooking shrinks the world and allows you to make friendships that are beyond the craft. I have been very fortunate to make some lasting friendships because of my craft, that I would never had the chance to meet normally from the other side of the world. I can now count the crazy canuck as one of them.
Kaz and I had a chance to chill with Trisha and she regaled us with stories about her family and Canada. I will go to Edmonton to visit her but NOT in winter where temperatures dive to minus 30 and the oil freezes in your car if it's not plugged into the heater.
We completed a stunning project in the workshop that had hidden flaps and tags - 50 layers in total. We were only able to complete the construction phase and had to put the photos and embellishments - supplied in the kit -at home. Well Trisha I've finished my homework. I was so inspired I had to complete it as soon as I got home. I also had to recreate it as well using Graphic 45 ABC Primer.
Photos do not do this project justice |
Reveal photo flap no 1 |
photo flap reveal no two |
Now because I had mine planned for pics of my Grandsons I have flipped most of my pages to highlight the blue and brown tones .....
Because I was doing a boy page I didn't use many of the flowers supplied in the kit, I am so happy with the result.
Of course I then had to recreate it using another paper range. While I was doing the class project I kept seeing it in Graphic 45 ABC Primer so I had to see if it looked as good as I thought it would. It was even better. This project will become one of my gift staples.
Unfortunately the flash has given the pics a yellow tone they are of course much better in real life and even better framed in the new Prima frames.
