Well all I can say is wow what a weekend we've had. We flew into Sydney an hour late and were very pleased to see the shuttle driver holding the sign with our name on it. After a quick drive to the hotel to dump our luggage we were off to the cross to pick up the car, which for obvious reasons we nicknamed Kermit.
Off we headed in some of the worst traffic I have ever seen out to Londonderry to the famous Junkyard. After nearly two hours hard driving the anticipation was rising we finally pulled up only to discover the bloody place was closed - despite the hours open on the gate said it was open. WTF. Stop laughing Karen. So we reprogrammed the GPS and headed back to the cross to return the car and head to the hotel to check in.
Our suite has a fabulous balcony with an awesome view of the bridge.
The room is spacious and very well appointed, and the shower actually gets you wet enough to wash the conditioner properly.
After settling in and unpacking it was time to explore the rocks and find some food.
We found an awesome pub called the Observer and Gav the barman was awesome. The music was great the food was good what more do you need - oh I know Red Ice and they had it - lots of it! And for Chas half a dozen Irish girls that loved him and thought he was cute - nahhh I don't get it either.
Today we were up and ready to go early as Chas was booked for the Bridge Climb.
While Chas was climbing I took the hop on hop off tour around Sydney town.
We met up at lunch time and took a leisurely walk around the markets then headed to Circular Quay and jumped on the Manly Ferry for a harbour cruise because it was such a beautiful day. We had lunch at the Wharf Bar then headed back. We were entertained by a bunch of girls having a girls day out, thanks for the laughs girls.
Chas headed off to explore some local pubs and I headed back to the Hotel for a swim. Then we met back at the Observer for a few drinks and more great music and Chas did it again and got a hug from a couple of girls who thought he was cute. Gav had a Red Ice waiting for me when I got there. Then it was time to head home to get some rest before we fly home tomorrow. Well done Sydney great weekend.
Prepare to be amazed!
